whee!
- sunset wasnt good. it was cloudy so the sun didnt really come up. however, ANGKOR WAT was such a beautiful place. entrace fee was USD$20. kinna pricey tho. and the coolest thing was your photo was printed on the ticket. why? cause the ticket was valid for the whole day, so you can go out and come in again, so to prevent sharing tickets, photos are printed. we went to the BAYON TEMPLE too. the temple that has a lot of faces. the four face buddha, and there were 54 blocks of it. so in total, there are 216 faces.
- lunched at KFC and i broke my record by eating 4 piece chicken. the chicken wasnt very big tho. it wasnt as oily as the crispy ones back home. after lunch. mother and i headed to this OLD MARKET to search for this banana snack. it was not easy to find. when we finally found it, we wacked all of the unsweetened ones from the shop and bought some sweetened ones and banana candies too. jon came to find us and wacked out the unsweetened ones from another shop too. hahaha! it's very cheap too!
- had marinara for dinner. the portion was beeeeeeeeg! it never seems to get any lesser as i ate. cand too. so we got it packed and gave it to a girl on the road. dont waste food.
- went for an hour of foot reflexology and an hour of full body massage. this time was better than the previous. was talking to my masseu, she's 29 and have a daughter of 1 and a half years. divorced. her parents are divorced too and they both remaried. so she has 2 father and 2 mother. she lives away from her parents. i also learnt that before getting married here, the couple have to go for a HIV test to make sure they dont have the disease before they can get married. i guess cause of the HIV rates, this is the way to prevent couples from giving birth to HIV kids.
- last day with the kids today. the whole day, there were rehearsing for the play to perform it to other teachers and students. i was supposed to organise the 'animals' but it was damn difficult cause of the language barrier and the kids are really damn active. they cant sit still for long!! besides, my skin was crying under the sun.
- when it was finally time to perform, the storm came. grrrr! but the performance still went on and everyone 'braved' the storm. when the skit was over, the rain kinna stopped. walau!
early flight home tmr. around 10ish. but we had to transit at phnom penh so it's gonna take like 5 hours to get home compared to just 2hours getting to siem reap. facebook is still giving me problems uploading chunks for photos!!!
