they are Buddhist.
what were they thinking?
and this particular school in my opinion is not something to WAH about even if you got in anyway.
it's just another all girls school, nothing special about them.
and i think it isn't fair to set such a criteria.
it's even more contradicting because every morning, teachers and students will recite the pledge,
- We, the citizens of Singapore,
- pledge ourselves as one united people,
- regardless of race, language or religion,
- to build a democratic society
- based on justice and equality
- so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and
- progress for our nation.
do you believe in fortune telling?
two of my group mates had their fortune told by the same fortune teller.
they waited one year to one and half years just to see him.
they said he's very accurate in his readings about their past, etc.
they were also told when they will be married, what will happen before marriage, etc.
one of them asked him whether she will be married to her current boyfriend.
he told her he is not the final one for her.
and another was told that in future, just before her marriage, something very terrible will happen to her boyfriend that will cause her to be SO heartbroken (E.g car accident a day before the wedding).
omg, that sounded damn scary!
i dont think i'll ever want to go to a fortune teller.
for one i'm afraid of hearing all the negative things, can you imagine!
but most importantly, i dont want to live my life in the shadows of what i'm told.
isn't it natural to be cautious of your every actions and behaviors after you're told what will happen?
so the best is to live your life as to how you want it.
why pay hundred over dollars and live in fear?
the scariest thing is one aunty in her fifties was told that she will die in a car accident in her sixties.
how are you going to live your life once you're told about this?
stay home 24hours once you hit 60 until you turn 70 hoping to escape that phase?
THIS IS NOT GOOD.
